Enjoy some of the festivities from last year
South Presbyterian Church’s Annual Fair was held on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Everyone was welcome and experienced a wonderful day of community fellowship and autumn celebration outside on the lawn as well as inside the South Church House building. The South Church House is located at 150 West Church Street in Bergenfield, across from Cooper’s Pond.

Our Annual Church Fair
This year our Church Fair was called "Autumn Jubilee" and offered something for everyone. There was an abundance of holiday shopping items offered, as well as activities for children and delicious seasonal food to be purchased.
Outside on the Church House lawn, there was face-painting, sand art and games for the children, along with Vermont apples, hardy mums, and chocolate treats.
Inside, the Church House was filled with unique handmade jewelry, homemade crafts, sweet treats, holiday wreaths, and lots of knitted and crocheted children’s sweaters, baby blankets, and novelty items. Containers were filled of home baked cookies at our “Cookie Walk,” and a selection of delicious homemade donuts, breads, pies, soups, and prepared entrees to take home and enjoy.
The South Church Anniversary Cookbook was available for sale, along with plenty of “new” and “nearly new” household items. This year we sold uniquely hand-painted roof slates that have been preserved from the recent replacement of our Church House roof. A limited edition of Pineapples were designed on slate. Our beautifully decorated, historic Lounge was a warm inviting place to enjoy lunch, including an array of hearty soups, chili and sandwiches. Home baked desserts, tea and coffee completed your meal.
Our Fair supports many Mission Projects...
Most importantly, proceeds from South Church’s Autumn Jubilee support local, national and international mission projects. Our Mission outreach includes aiding shelter for the homeless, food for the hungry, clothing for the less fortunate, support for the ill, and care for the abused.
Bergenfield’s Social Service Dept., Police, Fire and Ambulance Departments, the Salvation Army, Center for Food Action, Family Promise of Bergen County, Shelter Our Sisters in Hackensack, Vantage Health Alzheimer’s Unit, Heifer International, and Church World Service are only a few of the many organizations that will be provided assistance with your support.
