The Season of Lent

Lenten Study 2017

After our Lenten Supper we enjoy a Lenten Study.

The theme of this year’s Lenten study is “Pilgrimage: An Invitation.”

We are invited to gather for reflection and spiritual conversation

around a series of themes drawn from this overarching theme.

Below are the topics for each Monday of the study.

March 6– The Open Road

The hope, longing, purpose or invitation that motivates us to

leave our normal environment or comfortable situation.

March 13– Taking and Leaving

How do we choose what to keep, what we require for inner vitality and balance, and what to leave behind, things we now find obstructive?

March 20 –Becoming Present

The invitation to be more attentive to our surroundings

Where are the signs of God’s presence around us?

How do we stay open to new insights?

March 27 – Alone and Together

In our search for ‘unity in diversity,’ how do we learn from ‘the other’?

What does it mean to be separate yet ‘one’?

April 3– Living with Uncertainty

Times of alienation and separation that are common to us all.

How do we live with unanswered questions?

From where do we find hope?
